Abrasion Resistant Glass

The abrasion-resistant glass ARG by far exceeds all requirements on chemical glass laid down in standard DIN EN 15159-3.

Pfaudler ARG is the short name of “Abrasion Resistant Glass”. It is a specific enhancement of the white glass WWG 912 well-known by our customers, which has proven its worth for many decades.

Its development was motivated by an increasing number of inquiries from customers that asked for comparable chemical properties as the known glass types, but needed a considerably higher impact resistance, and especially also a higher abrasion resistance compared to the proven glass linings. This desire was accounted for by the development of ARG.

For this new glass, a new combination of glass and mineral additives was mixed, which resulted in an overall improved property profile of glass lined apparatus and built-in parts.
