CIP System

CIP CIP HURRAH!

CIP, FDA, GMP - these abbreviations are synonymous of high demands: Top production and process reliability in the pharmaceutical industry.CIP1

With its components and plants made of glassed steel and stainless steel, Pfaudler fully lives up to these high requirements. The unique product properties of the smooth, anti-adhesive glass surfaces combined with the novel, innovative reactors offer optimum solutions.

  • Small reactors in modular design for flexible process adjustment
  • Special agitator turbines for residual quantities capable of mixing extremely small volumes, designs without clearances and without any gaskets, FDA-approved materials, CIP cleaning capability

Fused-in sight glasses offer permanent insight into the process - and real understanding is provided by the Reactor Telemonitoring Hub through continuous process data acquisition.

CIP SYSTEMS

Especially for production in engineering plants or in the pharmaceutical industry, a number of products that are specifically matched to the needs of glassed steel reactors have been developed by Pfaudler in cooperation with renowned manufacturers of CIP cleaning systems.CIP2

The new Pfaudler CIP system for glass lined reactors was developed in cooperation with AlfaLaval GmbH, the specialist for CIP cleaning techniques.

The cleaning system consists of two principal components - the Sanijet20 (product name of AlfaLaval) portable cleaning lance with an adapter for easy installation on the proven Pfaudler Fillook quick-action lids - and a retractable cleaning lance whose spray head can be inserted into and retracted from the reactor by the actual cleaning agent alone for cleaning purposes. The cleaning system is insulated against the corrosive atmosphere inside the reactor by a PFA-lined ball valve.

Advantages:

  • Integrated system consisting of mutually adapted components.
  • Easy to attach to glass lined reactors with standard interfaces.
  • Low-cost because as the cleaning system does not come into contact with the process media, it need not be made of highly resistant materials.
  • Compact design.
  • Inexpensive because the portable cleaning lance can be used for more than one apparatus.
  • No external energy is required for operation in addition to the cleaning agent.

The known CIP components are available in addition to the new Pfaudler CIP system:

  • CIP ring
  • CIP lance (PVDF/PTFE or stainless steel)
