GLASSLOOK SIGHT GLASSES
Glasslook sight glasses - the break-free connection:
Safety has top priority when operating chemical plants. The glass pane of the Glasslook sight glass type is fused into a glassed steel rim. The sight glass and the glass lining are united into one during this process. Thus, the pressure tension distribution within the soda-lime sight glass becomes extremely homogeneous, ensuring high resistance to bursting.
Pfaudler offers various designs of the Glasslook sight glasses:
Advantages of Glasslook:
- Temperature-shock resistance through homogeneous stress distribution within the glass-steel compound
- Leakage-free with high safety margins
- Unbreakable, no total failure, tightness is guaranteed even in the event of possible cracks
- Always a clear sight, with additional protective glass, generally less sensitive to mechanical impacts

PFAUDLER INLINE SIGHT GLASS
The Pfaudler inline sight glass has been approved and specifically developed for glassed steel reactors and pipelines.
It has never been easier to integrate a safe sight glass into a pipeline.
The inline sight glass and two gaskets are simply clamped between two pipeline or reactor nozzle flanges and fixed using the flange screws. You couldn’t be any simpler. The sight glass has been standardized for nominal diameters from DN25 to DN400. ↑ Top

SAMPLING SYSTEMS
Maintenance-free and safe representative results:
Environmental protection, ISO certification or process control require representative sampling procedures. Using the fleXampler sampling system, Pfaudler offers safe, closed sampling of liquid media from reactors and vessels - safely and without interrupting the process!
-
For standard applications, Pfaudler offers the fleXampler Standard. A simple, inexpensive sampling system for a number of applications.
-
For special requirements of the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, the Pfaudler fleXampler Loop may be used which is specifically distinguished by its optimum cleaning ease and broad application range. ↑ Top
FLEXAMPLER STANDARD
Functional principle of fleXampler with by-pass: A dip pipe or a Quatro-Pipe baffle is installed on a free reactor nozzle. The PTFE suction tube is introduced into the Quatro-Pipe and provides for sampling at the lower end of the dip pipe - right in the area of the agitator turbine. With the help of a fitting on the lower flange of the fleXampler sampling system, the dip pipe or the Quatro-Pipe can still be used to introduce liquid media.
Sampling is performed with a vacuum, overpressure or a suction/delivery nozzle.

Simple, safe operation

Modular design
-
Main valve with low clearance volume and cylinder tap
-
Large outlet for sampling
-
Ball seat made of perfluoro elastomer (FDA-approved), soft sealing properties, guarantees safe sealing of the PTFE hollow ball
-
2-hole mounting plates provide for the connection of various additional valves or connections

-
Options: Design with recirculating pump, automatic control with motorized valves, sampling flask cage ↑ Top
FLEXAMPLER LOOP
Using the fleXampler loop sampling system, a Quatro-Pipe baffle combined with an internal tube made of PTFE can be converted into a permanent sampling system. An additional nozzle for sampling is not necessary.
-
Representative results: The sample is taken from near the agitator - in this point, mixing is most intense.
-
Circulating system: The sample is taken from a closed system. All parts getting in touch with the product are metal-free.
-
Self-cleaning: Due to the permanent circulation, the sampling device does not have to be cleaned. The production circle is automatically cleaned together with the reactor.
The basic functional elements of the fleXampler loop sampling system include
-
Quatro-Pipe baffle as supply and discharge line for the sampling system
-
Safety valve with low clearance volume
-
PTFE-coated diaphragm pump
-
Closing valve to safely disconnect the product circle ↑ Top
AGITATOR MONITORING RTH
Pfaudler Reactor Telemonitoring Hub (RTH)
As a standard, all fleXeal mechanical seals have been prepared for the installation of a speed sensor and a pressure/temperature sensor approved for potentially explosive atmospheres. All significant operating parameters can be viewed at a glance and thus measured and monitored conveniently using the Pfaudler Reactor Telemonitoring Hub. By means of standardized interfaces, the measured variables may be transmitted directly by the RTH to a process control system on a host computer. ↑ Top
THERMOSTATIC VALVE FOR MECHANICAL SEALS
All Pfaudler mechanical seals are equipped with a cooling jacket as a standard. It ensures cooling of the mechanical seal right at the point where heat develops. Safely, efficiently and effectively.

In order to reduce cooling water consumption, Pfaudler developed an automatic thermostatic valve. This valve can be directly attached to any mechanical seal made by Pfaudler. The cooling water consumption can thus be reduced by up to 90%.
Advantages
-
Can be retrofitted to existing mechanical seals made by Pfaudler at any time
-
Reduces the cooling water consumption by up to 90%
-
Simple and inexpensive solution without additional open- or closed-loop control measures
-
Remains operative in the event of power failure ↑ Top
SPC SEAL PRESSURE CONTROLLER
The Pfaudler SPC helps you save costs and increase the useful life of the mechanical seals on your agitators.
The SPC is used for the simple and inexpensive control of the sealing pressure of wet-running and dry-running contacting and gas film lubricated mechanical seals.
How it works A sensor provided on the customer’s side measures the reactor pressure. This pressure signal is supplied to the SPC and converted to the optimum sealing pressure of the mechanical seal using a freely configurable programmable logic controller.
A digital valve system controls the barrier gas pressure or the pressure inside the gas receiver of the thermosiphon system. Fully automatic and without any additional control elements. ↑ Top
SPEED SENSOR
Pfaudler fleXeal speed sensor
Pfaudler is the only manufacturer of mechanical seals for glassed steel agitators to offer a standard speed sensor which can be integrated directly into the mechanical seal.
-
The speed signal can be obtained directly from the mechanical seal without any additional installation or assembly efforts.
-
The Pfaudler fleXeal speed sensor is suitable for all mechanical seals type fleXeal DIN and fleXeal UC. ↑ Top
