Heat Exchanger AspaX PHE/Double Jacketed Heat Exchangers

HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER

Pfaudler customers benefit from our comprehensive know-how by obtaining a higher added value. Using our well-engineered heat transfer technologies, you will always be on the economic side.

Heat exchangers are primarily used for condensation and evaporation. In addition to double-jacket or double-pipe heat exchangers, Pfaudler offers an entirely new generation of heat exchangers: the aspaX PHE series.

Pfaudler heat exchangers of the aspaX PHE series.aspaX

The aspaX PHE heat exchanger consists of several bundles of heat exchanger tubes which are fastened to a diffusion-tight, TFM-sheathed tube base. This construction offers optimum utilization of space, and thus an excellent ratio between the heat exchanger surface and the apparatus volume. The aspaX PHE is suitable for quite a number of applications: Heat exchanger fluid-fluid, condenser, evaporator, column head cooler, column sump heater, additional heat exchanger surface within reactors, heating of storage tanks.

DOUBLE-JACKET HEAT EXCHANGERS WK/WV

Pfaudler double-jacket condensers WK

  • Modular principle - in connection with Pfaudler apparatus, systems of any capacity can be assembled
  • Heat exchange areas surround the glass lined product space inside and outside - large heat exchange area with small footprint
  • All surface areas in contact with product are protected by glass, and thus resistant to all aggressive media (except hydrofluoric acid)
  • Allowable working pressure in the product space: -1/+6 bar
  • Allowable working pressure in the heating/cooling space: 6 bar
  • Allowable working temperature: -25 / +200°C

Double-jacket heat exchanger WD

  • Particularly suitable for fluid-fluid thermal transfer, also as condensers for distillation and rectification systems if the structural height prevents a double-jacket heat exchanger of the type WK.
  • Without a jacket, the tubes may also be used as surface irrigation coolers. When used as a reaction apparatus (flow tube), the tube length is also determined by the required dwell time.
  • Modular design - depending on the room available, vertical, horizontal or even angular arrangements can be constructed from standardized parts
  • All surface areas in contact with product are protected by glass, and thus resistant to all aggressive media (except hydrofluoric acid)
  • Jacket connection: Flange connection with welding neck flange
  • Working pressure in the inner tube: up to 40 bar
  • Working pressure in the jacket: 10 bar
  • Operating temperature: 230°C
