Smoother, cleaner, more resistant - these are the properties of the light-blue Pfaudler PharmaGlass PPG. This glass quality is basically characterized by the following unique features:

Light blue: The light blue color is ideal for all processes where visibility of the vessel’s contents is important. Or if product residues have to be safely detected, especially when producing ultrapure active ingredients or preliminary products for the pharmaceutical industry.

Smoother: Compared to other glass qualities, and especially compared to stainless steel, Pfaudler PharmaGlass is much smoother, and thus easier to clean and safe against cross contamination.

More resistant: Pfaudler PharmaGlass has been specially optimized for processes in the pharmaceutical industry which require not only excellent resistance to acids, but also resistance to aggressive CIP media which normally are in the alkali range.

Contains no critical heavy metals: Heavy metals, such as lead oxide, are excellent glass forming agents, and are contained in many chemical glass qualities for this reason. This is not the case with PPG - which does not contain any critical heavy metals; contamination of the product is thus excluded.
