THIN-FILM EVAPORATOR
Pfaudler thin-film evaporators are particularly suitable for efficiently processing products with a high boiling point, viscous and/or heat-sensitive materials.
With this technology, the product is introduced from above into a glass lined reactor which contains a heatable double jacket. Rotating wiper blades distribute the product along the reactor walls, stirring it and detaching it from the heated wall after a few seconds - volatile components evaporate.
- Solutions can be concentrated up to a solids content of more than 95%
- Minimum dwell times for heat-sensitive substances
- Good heat transmission properties of the glassed steel compound material
- Efficient evaporation of the process material through a uniform, thin film thickness
- Performance can be increased by vacuum operation
- High operational reliability, low maintenance cost - a low rotor speed minimizes the wear of gaskets and bearings
- Energy-saving operation - low-power motors may be used because the friction between the wiper blades and the reactor wall is reduced by the liquid film
